MEET AMANE

Born in a rural village in Ethiopia, Amane Badhasso has spent her life working for justice and advancing the American dream. As a child, Amane's family fled ongoing violence in Ethiopia, becoming a child refugee in Kenya and finding safety upon arrival to the United States. At the age of 13, Amane came to Minnesota through a refugee resettlement program - Amane has seen firsthand the promise of the American dream.

Amane has been at the forefront of the most significant economic, racial, environmental, and social justice fights. As an international human rights leader and democracy advocate, she has organized our local and global communities, engaging Minnesota's diverse communities on domestic and international issues.

Now, Amane is running for Congress to fight for a more fair, inclusive, and just America. For too long, our leaders have prioritized their personal power over the power of our community. Join Amane's campaign today and help us ensure every American, regardless of their background, can realize the promise of the American dream.

DONATE TO FUEL OUR MOVEMENT

Meet Jordan

I was born and raised in the suburbs of Minneapolis, Minnesota. After graduating from the Carlson School at the University of Minnesota with a BSB in Finance, I moved to Los Angeles. Without having met anyone in person, I was lucky enough to find an apartment with an amazing new roommate who showed me around my new hometown. A city I had never heard of before, called West Hollywood. Now it's been almost a decade, and I've never looked back.

I have been active in politics - local and national - since I was a child. Born to parents that were an attorney and a police officer, being an active political participant was ingrained in me at a very young age. I have volunteered on campaigns in the diverse communities of Minnesota and California on issues and campaigns ranging from local city officials to Presidential candidates. As a lifelong community organizer, I have done everything from passing out buttons and candy in parades when I was 10 years old for candidates I believed in, to running an entire polling precinct in a Presidential Primary Election.

Now, I am running for West Hollywood City Council to fight for a more fair, inclusive, and just city. For too long, our leaders have prioritized their personal power over the power of our community. West Hollywood is the great city that it is because of the people who live here, and I'm going to make sure that the people are taken care of. On my first day as a council member, I'm going to fight to make our neighborhoods safer from crime. I'm going to fight to take care of our most vulnerable citizens, including those suffering from homelessness. I'm going to fight to keep our housing costs affordable. I'm going to fight for our small business owners who want to do business here. I'm going to fight for you. Please join my campaign today and help us ensure every citizen, regardless of their background, can reach their full potential.
